DevModel Privacy Policy
Effective: 29 October 2026
DevModel is a Chrome extension that converts JSON into C#, TypeScript and PostgreSQL code. This policy explains what data it handles.
What stays on your device
- JSON that you paste, select, or that DevModel reads from web pages is processed locally in your browser. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
- Optional "Capture page API responses" (off by default): when you turn it on, JSON responses from the page's own network requests are kept in that tab's memory so you can convert them. They are never stored or sent anywhere, and they are discarded when you leave or reload the page.
- Your settings (output language, generator options, the "Active on JSON pages" switch) and your Pro license key are saved in Chrome's extension storage on your device. If Chrome sync is turned on, your license key is also synced through your Google account so Pro works on your other computers.
What is sent, and to whom
- License activation only: when you enter a purchased license key and click Activate, DevModel sends that key and our product ID to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) to verify the purchase and count the activation. Your browser also sends the standard information included with any web request, such as your IP address. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to that request: https://gumroad.com/privacy
- Nothing else is sent. DevModel has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
Purchases and tips
"Get Lifetime Pro" opens our Gumroad product page, and "Donate / Tip the Developer" opens Buy Me a Coffee. Payments are handled by those services under their own privacy policies. When you buy DevModel Pro, Gumroad shares your purchase details (such as your email address) with us as the seller, and we use them only to provide your license and support.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
